About Us - Young People United Worldwide
Our Vision
Uniting young people to positively change lives of the less privileged, and to develop young people to become changemakers in the world. Our focus is funding urgent basic needs, bringing opportunities to young people that have no access to proper education as a result of their background, geographical location and social status.
Our Approach
As Young People United (YPU), we believe in empowering future generations to be actively involved in giving, fundraising and mentoring other young people who find themselves in positions of disadvantage. We work closely with underprivileged communities to understand their needs and develop impactful solutions through research, reflections, inclusive problem solving, events and social interaction. We believe that no child, teenager or young adult should be prevented from reaching their full potential because of challenges that are not of their making.
Our Impact
Over the years, we have worked with charities and other organisations to raise funds for school fees, sanitary products and food that we then distribute to underprivileged young people. We are proud of the positive impact we are making not only to the receivers but also those who give. Developing a giving mindset is important for mental health, and this has been attested by many who have donated to our cause.
